Janet Mae Hoefft

Janet Mae Hoefft passed away peacefully on May 22, 2010, at the age 65, after a five-month courageous battle with cancer. Jan moved to the Rogue Valley in July 1980, at which time, she settled into White City. Shortly after, she moved to Shady Cove and Eagle Point. She enjoyed spending her time salmon fishing on the Rogue River. Jan is married to Thomas Hoefft, of Eagle Point. In 1997, Jan and Tom moved to Mountain Home, Idaho, where they lived for many years.

Jan loved people and was the rock that everyone relied on. Her beautiful smile made everyone's day. No matter what the task, she always gave 125 percent. She impacted so many people's lives and will be greatly missed by all.

Jan leaves behind mom, Patsy Micheau, of Huron, S.D.; husband, Thomas Hoefft; daughters, Tracie Lajeunesse (Roning) and Leslie McElroy (Roning); and son, Doug Roning.

A memorial service for Jan will be held on May, 29, 2010, at her daughters' house at 2717 South Jays Rd, Medical Lake, WA. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
