Ashland native and 2001 Ashland High School graduate, Austin Kerr-Valentic has been named the winner of the second ever Quick and Quirky 24 hour design contest in New York City.

Ashland native and 2001 Ashland High School graduate, Austin Kerr-Valentic has been named the winner of the second ever Quick and Quirky 24 hour design contest in New York City.

Austin was congratulated during a videoconference with Quirky's headquarters in New York City in early April.

Kerr-Valentic's idea for a new type of herb garden was the favorite among the social product development community at Quirky.com. The final product, named "Stem Garden," was put up for sale on the company website, www.quirky.com.
