Events start at 7 each night at the Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point.

Tickets are $14 in advance and $16 at the gate for adults Thursday, $15 and $17 Friday and $17 and $19 Saturday. They are available now at all PremierWest Bank locations (except for the branch at the Rogue Valley Manor), Sherm's Thunderbird, Food 4 Less, Big R in White City and Cowboy Corral in Grants Pass.

The rodeo, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, is one of the biggest rodeos on the West Coast, organizers said in a press release.

It will feature nationally ranked cowboys along with local standouts competing for a $5,000 purse in each event. Events include bull riding, saddle-bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie-down roping and team roping. Other highlights this year include mutton busting for kids, new clown Donny Landis and a "flea that does tricks," announcer Will Rasmussen along with instant replay, a new scoreboard and the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo Drill Team.

Mote won the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo bareback riding competition last year and set a bareback riding single-season earnings record in 2009 with $310,219. He also won the Columbia River Circuit Finals in Redmond and the year-end all-around title, along with several other titles around the U.S. as well as the Medicine Hat Stampede in Alberta, Canada.
