South Medford's baseball team, advancing to the semifinals of the state playoffs for the first time in school history, will be among a handful of Rogue Valley baseball and softball teams hosting games Tuesday.

South Medford, which upset sixth-ranked Westview, 11-6, on Friday, entertains No. 4-ranked Tualatin at 4:30 p.m. at Harry & David Field in the Class 6A playoffs. The Panthers (15-12) are the No. 3 team from the Southwest Conference.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

In 5A baseball, Madras plays Ashland at 4:30 p.m. at North Mountain Park in Ashland.

In 6A softball, McNary visits Grants Pass at 4 p.m., and in 3A softball, Willamina is at Rogue River at 4 p.m.
