With Best Buy's targeted opening date two months away, that's a question crossing a lot of minds these days, what with unemployment still trucking along well above 10 percent in Southern Oregon.

According to Best Buy corporate spokeswoman Jill Nezworski, the electronics retailer will hold a job fair at some point, but she advises going to the company's website now.

Job candidates should go to the website at www.bestbuy.com and click on "Careers" under the "Corporate Info" heading near the bottom of the page on the right.

Enter Medford into the keyword search.

At that point the following job titles will pop up: delivery driver, supervisor, non-commissioned sales, inventory/shipping & receiving, merchandising, Geek Squad automotive installation technician, customer service specialist, mobile wireless sales consultant, appliance sales specialist, asset protection associate, Geek Squad in-store computer/electronics technician, mobile wireless sales in-store manager and musical instruments specialist.

"We'll be looking to hire about 100 full- and part-time employees," she said. "Things should get rolling pretty quickly."
