Earl K. and Cecile A. Poole of White City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 29, with a reception at Twin Creeks Gazebo in Central Point.

Earl K. and Cecile A. Poole of White City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 29, with a reception at Twin Creeks Gazebo in Central Point.

Hosts of the event, with 75 guests attending, were their five children and their families. Out of town guests included Cecile's sister, Marie and Jim Corrigan of Temple City, Calif., and her brother, Everett and Florina Maxey of Laguna Hills, Calif., and cousin George and Diane Lechner of San Jose, Calif. Earl's brother, Jim and Cheryl Poole of Central Point and brother-in-law, Richard Thomas of Salem also attended.

Earl K. Poole married Cecile A. Maxey on Jan. 30, 1960, in Eagle Rock, Calif. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1973 from Ventura County, Calif.

Cecile worked at Bear Creek Corp, retiring in 2005 after 321/2; years.

Earl worked at various locations, managed an Arco station and worked recruiting for the Oregon National Guards, retiring in 1998.

They have lived in Medford and White City and all of their children graduated from Eagle Point High School.

The Pooles have five children, Tim (Kathleen) Poole of Albany, Yvonne Poole of Central Point, Tom (Donna) Poole of White City, Earl Poole Jr. (Heather) of Keizer, and Yvette and Randy Fetsch of Central Point. They also have 14 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
