Well-cared-for cars and the people who love them fill the streets and parks this weekend for the Medford Cruise.

Start with a pancake feed at 7:30 a.m. today and Sunday in Hawthorne Park, priced at $6.

Then, stroll through hundreds of street cars, muscle cars, classics, customs and hot rods at The Show 'n Shine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Vehicle registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and costs $40 for both days. Participate in just Sunday's event — open to all vehicles — for $10.

A poker walk exploring downtown starts at 10 a.m. at Norris Shoes and ends back in Hawthorne Park.

The main event, the cruise itself, begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. All participating classics, customs, restorations, hot rods and muscle cars will parade through downtown Medford, and roads will be closed to regular traffic. A "Best of the Cruise" trophy will be awarded to the top cruiser, then the action moves back to Hawthorne Park for free drive-in showing of "American Graffiti."

"An Evening with Elvis" will be held at 9 p.m. Saturday at Kids Unlimited, 821 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. Justin Shandor, a top-five finalist in the 2009 National Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, will perform tunes from all eras of the King's long career. Tickets to the show are $15.
