Barbecue, microbrews and wine for adults, free activities for kids and live music are planned this weekend at the annual Battle of the Bones.

The event, which allows attendees to vote on their favorite food and drink, is from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 26, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Twin Creeks Park, 555 Twin Creeks Crossing Loop, Central Point. Admission is $10 to taste barbecue, beer or wine or $15 to taste barbecue and microbrews.

Musicians performing at the event include The Doorshakers, B. Wishes, Soul'd Out, Karen Lovely, Bluesdusters, Volifonix and The Mixers.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Central Point Parks and Recreation Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping provide recreation opportunities in Central Point.
