Stephanie M. Olson of Medford received a bachelor's degree in English language arts and reading, graduating cum laude honors, (3.50 to 3.74 grade-point average) and Sigma Chi Pi from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, on April 30.

Stephanie M. Olson of Medford received a bachelor's degree in English language arts and reading, graduating cum laude honors, (3.50 to 3.74 grade-point average) and Sigma Chi Pi from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, on April 30.

David Russak of Medford has qualified for the winter term 2010 dean's list at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve and maintain a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the duration of the term.

Medford resident Rebecca Tribelhorn, a student at Occidental College in Los Angeles, is one of approximately 100 students at the college who have been selected to live and work on campus this summer pursuing independent research projects.

Tribelhorn will work with Professor Gretchen North in the biology department during the 10-week summer research period.

The following students qualified for the Seattle Pacific University 2010 winter quarter dean's list. Students on the dean's list have completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average.

Several students from Jackson County qualified for the academic deans' list at Azusa Pacific University. These students were honored for a fall semester 2009 academic standing of 3.5 or better grade-point average.

Medford resident and a global studies major Amanda A. Carmassi; Jacksonville resident and a pre-engineering major Natalie R. Kennedy and Yreka resident and a finance major Matthew M. Ward.

Michael J. Tribble, son of Merilyn and Gary Tribble of Medford, was honored with induction into the California Lutheran University Scholar Athlete Society on May 8. To qualify for this honor, student athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4 or higher. Tribble also qualified for the spring 2010 semester dean's list. In order to qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve a 3.5 grade-point average, and full-time students who enrolled since fall 2006 must achieve a 3.6 grade-point average. Tribble is a 2008 graduate of North Medford High School.

Leslie June Kobinsky, 19, of Medford, has qualifed for the spring semester dean's list at Westminster College. To qualify for the dean's list, students must attend full-time, with 12 or more graded hours and a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

Kobinsky graduated from South Medford High School in 2009.

Stacie A. Little, of Medford has earned an associate degree in nursing from Excelsior College.

The following Linn Benton Community College students from Jackson County earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for 12 or more graded credits during the winter term, January to March 2010, qualifying them for the winter term honor roll.

Jessica Reid of Medford was named to the fall semester dean's list at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif. To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn a 3.6 grade-point average.

Leslie June Kobinsky of Medford qualified for the spring 2010 semester dean's list at Westminster College. To qualify for the dean's list, a full-time student, with 12 or more graded hours, must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or above. Kobinsky is a 2009 graduate of South Medford High School.

Paul Daniel Fickes of Rogue River qualified for the spring 2010 semester president's list at Union University in Jackson, Tenn. To qualify for the president's list, full-time students must achieve a 4.0 grade-point average.
