Zanhow, Sr.



Ted Zanhow, 85, passed away at his home in Medford on Sunday, June 20, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife Annabelle Zahnow and is survived by his sons, Ted Zahnow Jr., of Medford, Ore., Dan Zahnow, of Jacksonville, Ore.; daughter, Theresa, of Calif.; brothers, Henry Peterson, of Henderson, Nev., James Fourtounis, of Beloit, Wis.; sister, Elaine Pearson, of Edina, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.



Mr. Zahnow was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge #1168 for 41 years. He served in the United States Army, 158th Infantry Anti-Tank Company and received the Purple Heart Go 65 HQ 158th Inf. 45, Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, WWII Victory and the Good Conduct Medal.



A memorial service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
