Bruce Edward Pingle Jr.



Bruce Edward Pingle, age 72, died June 16, 2010, at his home in Butte Falls, Ore. Bruce was born October 13, 1937, in Los Angeles, Calif.



Bruce was the son of Bruce Sr. and Ella Pingle. They move to Mill Mar Ranch, Butte Falls, Ore., in 1947. The Pingle family operated a dude ranch. Bruce spent most of his time managing the tack room and riding his horse, Flicka. Later the family moved into Butte Falls where his parents owned and operated the General Store. Bruce graduated from Butte Falls High School in 1957. He then went in to the Navy and served his country for four years as a seaman.



Bruce married Diana McDonald on June 30, 1963. They had two daughters, Kimberly and Karla. They have several grandchildren.



Bruce's life work and love was ranching, he also worked as an auto mechanic, logger, and maintenance manager for Butte Falls School District. His hobbies were woodworking, leatherwork, and horse packing.



He is survived by wife, Diana Pingle; daughters, Kim and Karla; five grandchildren; mother, Ella Pingle and sister, Juila Fuller.



The service will be held July 2, 2010, at the Lyon Ranch, 6430 Fish Lake Road, Butte Falls, Ore., 5:00 p.m. A potluck dinner will be held at the Butte Falls Community Church after the service.
