The annual Children's Festival returns to Jacksonville July 11-13 with all sorts of activities for kids.

The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 12, and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 13, on the Britt grounds in Jacksonville. Admission is $2 per person.

The annual festival is organized by the Storytelling Guild of Jackson County and includes more than 35 hands-on art, craft and science projects, including candle making, pottery and woodworking for older kids and puppet-making, sand and easel art and face painting for younger kids. Stage performances also are planned.
