Pamela Jean Luehrs Taglieri



Pamela, 62, passed away at Providence Hospital, December 1, 2009, at 12:12 am. Her four children and sister, Deborah; niece, Star Priester were at her side.



Pam was born December 12, 1946, to Naomi Emma Smith and Dean Ersell Luehrs at the Community Hospital, now the Century Building. Her maternal family were Pioneers of the Applegate Valley who arrived in 1850.



She married several times: Forrest Moore, of Ashland, Ore.; in 1960, Gary Glenn, of Medford, Ore.; in 1964, Mac McFarland, of Ohio, Calif., in 1969; Bill Taglieri, of New Jersey, in 1973.



She traveled a lot and lived in Oregon, Hawaii, Florida and Arizona. Pam had several jobs, packing fruit, her own drywall business with Bill, and she worked at Target. Pam was assaulted in Phoenix, Ariz., on February 3, 1997. She received a brain injury and had been disabled since then.



Pamela came to live with her mother, Naomi, her sister, Deborah, and her neice, Star. Her sister was her guardian from 1997, and Star was her caregiver for over 10 years.



She is survived by her four children; Matthew McFarland of Phoenix, Ariz., Stormy McFarland Daniels of El Paso, Tex., India Taglieri of Phoenix, Ariz. and Rabia Taglieri Kerr of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Dean E. Luehrs, Jr. of Salem, Ore.; sisters Deorah L. Luehrs of Eagle Point, Ore., Martha Hyatt of Portland, Ore. and Deanne Luehrs of Medford, Ore. Pamela was preceded in death by her daughter, Camorah Chantel, who was stillborn in 1964.



A graveside service will be held July 24, 2010, at Logtown Cemetery near Ruch, Ore. Friends and family are welcome.
