Two Southern Oregon organizations will share more than $200,000 in grants from Meyer Memorial Trust.

Friends of the Oregon Caves and Chateau was awarded $50,000 To conduct a capital campaign to renovate the historic Oregon Caves Chateau.

The Umpqua Community Development Corporation in Roseburg was awarded $195,000 for housing to serve people with developmental and physical disabilities.

The Meyer Memorial Trust was established from the will and estate of Fred G. Meyer and is not connected with Fred Meyer Inc., the retail enterprise. Since it began operating in 1982, the foundation has given away approximately $505 million to nonprofit organizations in Oregon and Clark County, Wash.
