Steve Spilker, a business counselor with the Rogue Community College Small Business Development Center, will offer insights to landing government contracts at a training seminar Wednesday, Aug. 11.

Spilker is a procurement counselor for the Government Contract Assistance Program, which helps small-business owners take the initial steps toward becoming government contractors. He will be joined by Program Manager Dee Edwards.

They will cover: basics of government contracting; where and how to register; where and how to find out what the government buys; and how to contract with the BLM and Forest Service in Southern Oregon.
