Kenneth E. Vinyard



Kenneth E. Vinyard, long-time resident of Medford, Ore., passed away Monday morning, July 26, 2010, in Medford. Kenneth was born in Parkrose, Ore., on September 2, 1924, to Roy and Alta Vinyard.



He graduated from Parkrose High School in 1942. Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy as electronic technician's mate, second class, during World War II. After discharge, Kenneth worked for Burroughs Adding Machine Company until his retirement in 1984. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene his entire adult life.



In 1947, Kenneth married Irene Rickman who survives. They were married 63 years and have three children, Joyce Vinyard, of Medford, Ore., Larry Vinyard, of Tucson, Arizona and Gerald Vinyard, of Milwaukie, Ore. Kenneth was preceded in death by sister, Thelma Vinyard; and brother, Ronald Vinyard.



A memorial service in his honor will be held Friday, July 30, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 1974 E. McAndrews Rd., Medford, OR. Everyone is invited.
