State Sen. Alan Bates talks in a Oregon League of Conservation Voters forum tonight about creating jobs through renewable energy originating in the United States.

The session is at 6 p.m. at the Talent Branch Library, 101 Home St. It’s free and open to the public.

The conservation group’s education fund is in the midst of a series of forums with the Ashland Democrat. Tonight’s is the second in the series, and the third, in Medford, is set Aug. 18 to discuss exposure to toxins.
