Leonard Francis Negles, 88, of Eagle Point, Ore., passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010. Leonard was born on January 12, 1922, in Harding, Colo., to Joseph V. and Ruby (Jones) Negles. He lived in the Rogue Valley since his early childhood.
Leonard served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. In April 1953, he married Velda Jean Willems, who preceded him in death in 1996. Leonard drove truck and delivered freight locally. One of his many accomplishments in life was building his own home. He also enjoyed fishing.
Leonard will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include two daughters, Christine Negles-Carter, of Eagle Point, Ore., and Clover Negles, of Ga.; brother, Ronald Negless; sister, Betty Hammond, of Medford, Ore.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford, followed by graveside services at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, October 1, 2010.
