After opening in 2004, the restaurant quickly became the favorite place to stop on Highway 62, buzzing with activity any day of the week.

After 25 years in Alaska, the co-owners of the restaurant, Jake and Kristi Haavig, and their stepson, Ben Allmas, headed to the Rogue Valley. Allmas' experience as the kitchen manager of a very successful pizzeria helped fulfill their vision to create a unique dining experience.

Straying from the usual pies, Kaleidoscope has forged new territory with toppings such as halibut, steak, eggplant and shrimp.

Since it opened, the restaurant was remodeled to increase seating and parking.
