Founded in 1977 with 32 charter members, the Medford Rogue Rotary Club, voted Best Civic Organization by Mail Tribune readers, is the largest of 15 Rotary Clubs in the region with some 230 members.

Founded in 1977 with 32 charter members, the Medford Rogue Rotary Club, voted Best Civic Organization by Mail Tribune readers, is the largest of 15 Rotary Clubs in the region with some 230 members.

Club president Carol Fischer says the valley is fortunate to have a number of Rotary Clubs, all of which do good things for the community.

While the Medford Rogue Rotary has an emphasis on helping local youths, it also works on international aid projects and in local volunteer efforts. In the Rogue Valley, Rotarians have helped with the Kids Unlimited basketball program, the Children's Festival at Britt, the Bob Newland track meet at South Medford High and the Pear Blossom Run, among other projects.
