Larry Paul Lea, of Folsom, Calif., passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010. He was born to Paul and Trudy Lea, on November 2, 1942, in St. Helens, Ore. Larry met the love of his life, Deanna, at age 16. They were married on December 27, 1971.

Larry is a graduate of Medford High School, University of Oregon, and received a master's degree in landscape architecture from the School of Design at Harvard University. He was a successful commercial real estate broker with Grubb and Ellis in Sacramento, Calif., as well as an ecpert technical writer. Larry was a member of the Peace Corp. in Afghanistan. He was also an alumni member of the University of Oregon and Harvard University, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Nights of the Vine, Divine Savior Catholic Church, and Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center.

Larry was a man of many talents. He deeply enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Larry also enjoyed his cats, attending to his home and garden, traveling, boating, sailing, cooking, stained and leaded glass flower arranging, music and all the performing arts.

Larry's legacy lives on through his devoted wife of 38 years, Deanna; sisters, Sonya Lea McDowell and Marilyn Lea Offord; sisters-in law, Regina Shay and Marilyn Allen; brothers-in-law, Roger McDowell, Steve Offord, and Dennis Shay; and several nephews.

A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, Ore. A Catholic funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 29, 2010, at 3:30 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford, Ore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanford Settlement, 450 W. El Camino Ave., Sacramento, CA, S.P.C.A., or your favorite charity.
