Ronald "Ronny" Jerry White, 75, passed away on October 26, 2010. Ronny was born on November 16, 1934, in Omaha, Neb., moving as a child to Medford, Ore., where he graduated from high school in 1952.

Ronny joined the Navy serving as a SeaBee and learning the trade of welding, resulting in his lifelong vocation as a sheet metal journeyman. Ronny returned to the Rogue Valley in 1957, and lived at various times in Medford and Central Point.

Over his lifetime, Ronny loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed membership with the Rogue Snowmobilers, where he worked to preserve and protect the trails, and often spearheaded community services projects for the club. More recently, Ronny dedicated countless hours to renovate the Apserkaha Camp at Howard Prairie, helping to substantially upgrade the facility into a welcoming outdoor retreat.

Ronny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neva; and is survived by his sister, Marylou; three children, Pamela, Michael, William; six stepchildren, Bob, Linda, Don, Gary, Terrie and Karen; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Eastwood Baptist Church, 675 N Keeneway Drive, Medford, with a luncheon to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to TRF Food Pantry, P.O. Box 5600, Central Point, OR, 97502.
