BREMERTON, Wash. — The Southern Oregon Spartans defeated Puget Sound 3-2 in a double-overtime NORPAC hockey game Thursday between short-handed teams at Bremerton Rink.

Each team was missing players as a result of suspensions from a bench-clearing brawl when they met on Oct. 15.

The Spartans' Keith Saito scored the winning goal 44 seconds into the second overtime on a pass from Dane Irving.

Southern Oregon's other goals were by Casey Skolnik, off an assist from Chris Whitten, in the second period, and by Vance Bridgman, with a pass from Skolnik, in the third period.

The Spartans took 62 shots to only 15 for the Tomahawks.

Dustin Pierce scored both Puget Sound goals.

Southern Oregon was 0-for-5 on power plays, and Puget Sound was 1-for-4.
