SEVEN OAKS FARM: A petting zoo, a kids' maze, face painting, pumpkin decorating and pony and wagon rides will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 30-31, at the farm, 5504 Rogue Valley Highway, Central Point. Pony and wagon rides cost $1, and donations will be accepted for face painting and pumpkin decorating. The pumpkin patch and kids' maze will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Food-preserving demonstrations will be presented Saturday. PHEASANT FIELDS FARM: The farm's annual harvest festival continues this weekend at 1865 Camp Baker Road, Phoenix. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. There will be a pumpkin patch, 2-acre corn maze, hayrides, shooting gallery, pony rides, a farm-animal exhibit, miniature horse demonstration, face painting and other kids' activities. The pumpkin patch will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through October. There will be live music from noon to 3 p.m. The farm's country store will offer fall produce and seasonal items for purchase, along with apple cider, soda, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches and caramel apples. STREET ART: Prospect artist and street painter Cheryl Magellen plans to create an 8-foot scarecrow, using pastel street chalk, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, on the blacktop in front of Paula's Bakery, 21901 Highway 62, Shady Cove. Everyone is invited to watch her create her scary masterpiece before fall rains wash him away.
