DALLAS — Brandon Seelye's 27-yard field goal as time expired gave Eagle Point a 31-28 victory over Dallas in a Class 5A football first round play-in game on Friday.

Eagle Point quarterback Shane Bluhm ran for three touchdowns and completed 15 of 25 passes for 323 yards.

The one-win Dragons limited the Eagles (5-4) to just six plays in the first quarter while taking control of the pace early on. Dallas, which rushed for 323 yards, owned a 28-21 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Eagle Point's Aaron Foster tied the game at 28 on a 13-yard burst into the end zone with 10:45 remaining.

"We went up and we didn't play our best game, but the kids continued to fight back," Eagle Point head coach Jacob Schauffler said. "(Dallas) slowed the pace of the game down. We knew they were better than 1-7.

"We were able to get some stops when we needed them."

The Eagles, who have played six of their nine games on the road, travel to face Midwestern League champion Marist in the second round of the play-ins at 7 p.m. next Friday.

Trevor Miller had 207 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Dallas (1-8).

ROSEBURG 34, CRATER 7 — At Central Point, Crater held Roseburg scoreless in the first quarter, but could not find its own offensive spark in the Southwest Conference loss at Dutch Meyer Field.

Ben Goirigolzarri rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns for the Indians (8-1, 6-1 SWC), who forced four first-half turnovers. Micah Audiss recorded a 71-yard scoring run in the second half.

Corey Wynant rushed for an 18-yard touchdown with 26 seconds left in the game for the Comets (2-7, 0-7). Matt Cooper and Chase Mackey split time at quarterback for Crater, which played without starter Tyler Turituri.

Crater's Ben McFarland carried the ball 11 times for 58 yards.
