The Southern Oregon women's soccer team wrapped up a spot in the Cascade Conference postseason tournament with a 2-0 victory over Warner Pacific Saturday in Portland.

The Raiders (12-4-2, 6-2-1 CC) secured the No. 3 seed and will travel to second-seeded Corban next Saturday.

Southern Oregon scored in the 23rd minute on an unassisted goal by freshman Ashton Griffen. SOU made it 2-0 in the 41st minute as freshman Kennedy Roteman scored on a header.

The attention now turns to the playoffs, where the Raiders make their first appearance in the last two years.

Volleyball

SOU 3, NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN 0 — At Eugene, Lindsey Stone recorded double-digits in assists and digs as 17th-ranked Southern Oregon cruised to a 25-6, 25-13, 25-18 Cascade Conference victory.

Stone recorded 33 assists to go along with 14 digs to lead the Raiders (18-3, 15-1 CC). The senior All-American also had five blocks. Junior Sarah Holgen had 13 kills and nine digs, while Leah Bergstrom finished with 10 kills. Becky Johnstone led the Raiders with 15 digs, while Natalie Scheller had 11 and Leanne Stennett finished with 10.

Women's Basketball

SOU 72, BETHANY 53 — At Santa Cruz, Calif., Josi McDermott, Alexi Smith and Whitney Scott all had 11 points to lead Southern Oregon in its season opener.

Men's Basketball

HUMBOLDT STATE 74, SOU 51 — At Arcata, Calif., Sam Osofsky made three 3-pointers and finished with 12 points and Kellen Hawley had 11 points and nine rebounds to pace Southern Oregon in its exhibition opener.
