Frederick Leon and Mickey Alrene Bruner of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 23 with a dinner with family and friends at Arbor House in Talent.

Frederick Leon and Mickey Alrene Bruner of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 23 with a dinner with family and friends at Arbor House in Talent.

Frederick Bruner married Mickey McKinstry on Oct. 23, 1960, in Pasadena, Calif.

Fred grew up in Logansport, Ind. Mickey grew up in Rosemead, Calif. They met while Fred was in the Navy, stationed in Long Beach, Calif. They moved to Talent in 1976.

Fred was a concrete contractor and Mickey is a homemaker. They are retired.

They have three children, Laurie (Clay) Patton of Ashland, Lisa (Mike) Pittenger of Walterville, Ore., and Brian Bruner of Eugene. They also have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
