In one of their top offensive showcases of the season, the Southern Oregon Spartans hockey team trounced Puget Sound, 10-1, on Sunday at The RRRink.

Chris Whitten had a hat trick to lead the Spartans (12-6 NORPAC), who netted all 10 of their goals before Puget Sound (1-21 NORPAC) was able to score with about 30 seconds remaining in the contest.

Goalie David Lamb nearly managed the shutout, saving 21 of 22 shots for the Spartans.
