Vivian Mary Harrington, 95, of Medford, Ore., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 in Medford. A family memorial service was held on Saturday, Nov. 13. Perl Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1915, in Anderson, Ind., to parents, Albert and Ethel Winner. On Aug. 26, 1938 in Boone County, Ky., she married her husband, Glen, who preceded her in death in 1990.
Survivors include her five sons, Glen (Judy), Michael, (Shirlene), Steve (Rachel), Paul (Mona), Donald (Cheryl); daughter, Susan Siegal (Jack); 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Vivian was a loving mother, who wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed several years of traveling with her husband, Glen, including an extended trip across the United States as well as three months in Europe. She also spent many hours volunteering as a deacon for First Presbyterian Church of Medford, and as a volunteer at Providence Hospital.
She was a homemaker, and in her free time she was an avid hiker, an excellent cook and a loving mother. She loved caring for her beloved boxer, Maggie, her garden, and her children and grandchildren.
