William "Bill" Davis, Jr., 62 of Maryville, Mo., passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at his home. He was born on September 10, 1948, in Maryville, Mo., to William Davis, Sr. and Thelma Vollnogel Davis; they precede him in death.

Mr. Davis proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from September 1966 to February 1969. He received the Purple Heart medal from injuries suffered during the war.

Bill was most recently employed by Federal Mogul in Maryville, Mo., and retired after becoming disabled. He married Leslie Ann Morrow on January 26, 1980, in Maryville, Mo., she survives him.

Bill is also survived by son, Wiley Davis, of Maryville, Mo.; daughters, Ardis DelaRiva, of Alameda, Calif., Tiffany (Tony) Rowlett, of Maryville, Mo., Sommer (Keith) Thompson, of Bolcklow, Mo., and Chantal Davis and her fianc, Chris Diekmann, of Maryville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Michael DelaRiva and Kayla Strouse, of Alameda, Calif., Johnathan Rowlett, of Maryville, Mo., and Liberty and Rex Thompson, of Bolcklow, Mo.; brothers, Larry (Elizabeth) Davis, of El Paso, Texas, and Gary Davis, of Medford, Ore.; and by sisters, Ilene (Dave) Lockhart, of Reno, Nev., and Shona (Don) Brooks, of White City, Ore.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo. A burial will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, Mo. Military rites will be performed at the cemetery. Services provided by Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville.
