The driver of a Chevy Silverado crushed in an accident at Table Rock and Biddle roads Tuesday afternoon was trapped for an hour and a half inside his cab as emergency crews extricated him.

The name of the driver and his condition have not yet been released, but he was taken out of the cab and placed on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.

A semitruck heading southbound on Table Rock Road clipped a white Ford F-150 as it made a right turn onto Biddle Road. The semi's second trailer came unhooked, crushing the Silverado.

Emergency crews first worked to lift the trailer off the truck, then they removed the cab.

The crash occurred about 2 p.m. and the driver was removed at about 3:30 p.m.

The driver of the Ford was reportedly not hurt during the collision.

Speed may have been a factor in the crash, according to a Central Point Police officer at the scene.

Traffic on Biddle was rerouted onto Hamrick Road as the emergency crews cleared the crash scene.
