A Central Point man injured Tuesday when a semitrailer tipped over and crushed him in his pickup truck remains in serious condition today at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.

Emergency crews worked at the intersection of Table Rock and Biddle roads for more than an hour to extract William W. Geary, 59, from his truck, which was pinned under the trailer.

A forklift and heavy wrecker were needed to lift the trailer off the man so he could be transported to the hospital. The crash is still under investigation by the Oregon State Police and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
