Medford police are on the hunt for a Toyota pickup loaded with an estimated $10,000 worth of hunting equipment, including a rifle and optic gear, that reportedly was stolen from a northwest Medford neighborhood on Christmas.

The loaded truck was parked in the 900 block of Worchester Drive, Medford, on the eve of a hunting trip, Medford police Lt. Bob Hansen said in a news release Monday. The hunters — a man and his daughter — had planned to leave on Sunday, they told investigators.

Their truck, however, disappeared around 11 p.m. on Christmas, police said.

It is described as a dark blue 1988 Toyota 4x4 pickup with a black ARB front bumper with winch and Oregon license plate VXQ 428. Police hope the vehicle is distinctive enough that someone will recognize it, Hansen said.

Anyone who spots the truck should contact their local police department. Call Medford police at 541-770-4784.
