Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air has announced that it will suspend all 14 flights from Medford to Mesa/Phoenix, Ariz., between March 31 and and May 19 to save fuel costs.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air has announced that it will suspend all 14 flights from Medford to Mesa/Phoenix, Ariz., between March 31 and and May 19 to save fuel costs.

A representative of Allegiant Air, Sabrina Lopiccolo, said the company needs to micromanage its flight schedule because of high fuel costs. The period of March 31 through May 19 is not a popular a time to travel to the Mesa/Phoenix area, she said.

Allegiant also has suspended flights out of Redmond, Ore.
