ROGUE RIVER — Rogue River has played St. Mary's three times this season. And take it from Chieftains head coach Dave Ehrhardt — things don't get any easier the third time.

"We just know a team like that you have to play aggressive," coach Ehrhardt said. "If you are passive against them, they just chew you up. It's like going in for a root canal."

The undefeated and third-ranked Crusaders defeated Rogue River 48-32 in a Southern Cascade Hybrid contest on Friday to sweep the regular-season conference series.

St. Mary's also beat the Chieftains in a nonconference game on Dec. 11.

Alli Ehrhardt had 21 points and six rebounds for Rogue River, which trailed 19-6 at halftime. She scored 20 of her points in the second half.

The Chieftains cut St. Mary's lead to eight early in the fourth quarter, but couldn't catch up.

Kylee Adderson had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Mackenzie Krieser scored 11 of her 16 points in the second half.

Jamee Batten recorded eight points and 11 rebounds and Krieser added four steals for the Crusaders (17-0, 5-0 SCH), who were 19 of 60 from the field.

"Neither team could get in an offensive rhythm," St. Mary's head coach Rick Jackson said. "We struggled shooting the ball. They did a better job handling our press. To (Rogue River's) credit, they came ready to play and they just never let us go on a run."

Emily Roldan had four points, four rebounds and three blocked shots for the Chieftains (10-11, 1-4).
