Vance Bridgman and Chris Whitten had the assists on the game-winning shot.

Mike O'Brien netted a powerplay goal on assists from Bridgman and Kyle Watne in the second period. Puget Sound's Ethan McAlpine tied the game at 1-all with 40 seconds left in the third period.

Goalkeeper Seth Kohlman earned the victory after stopping seven of the eight shots he faced in 28 minutes of action.

Southern Oregon (29-13) outshot the Tomahawks (2-39), 64-19. The Spartans have won seven of their last eight games.
