A woman who lost control of her vehicle Wednesday and struck a teenager in White City was issued several citations, including one for cell phone use while driving, and could face criminal charges, officials said.

Lisa Nicole Burkett, 32, of Eagle Point was driving her Dodge van west on Antelope Road at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when she went off the road, hitting a parked car, then jumping a curb and pinning Jonny Holbrook, 16, of White City, who was walking on the sidewalk, Jackson County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Andrea Carlson said.

Holbrook suffered a broken leg, and Burkett's vehicle was significantly damaged and had to be towed from its final resting place at 7650 Division Road, Carlson said.

Sheriff's deputies cited Burkett for careless driving, using a cell phone while driving, and failure to maintain a lane. The case has been forwarded to the Jackson County District Attorney's office to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
