National Weather Service meteorologists say a cold air mass will leave a layer of frost on the Rogue and Applegate valleys late Friday night until 9 a.m. Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to dip down as low as 32 degrees. Sensitive plants could die if left uncovered, NWS officials said.

But weather should improve through the weekend, with sunny skies and high temperatures of 60 and 70 degrees for Saturday and Sunday respectively.
