"Bozo The Clown: The Story of Vance Colvig" will be the next topic in the "Windows in Time" history series offered in partnership by the Southern Oregon Historical Society and Jackson County Library Services.

Lectures are at noon on Wednesday, May 4, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., and Wednesday, May 11, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

Stephanie Butler, who has written for Southern Oregon Heritage Today, a publication of the Southern Oregon Historical Society, and was the society's former education and programs coordinator, is the speaker. She will discuss Colvig's youth and inspiration, gathering details from his two unpublished manuscripts — "Clowns is People," in which he details memories of his youth, and "It's a Crazy Business," featuring his later life in Hollywood.

The free lunchtime lecture series continues monthly on the first and second Wednesdays throughout the year. For more information on the "Windows in Time" series, please call Jackson County Library Services at 541-774-6996 or 541-774-8689, or the Southern Oregon Historical Society at 541-899-8123.
