Phoenix junior Wil Cochrane will play Catlin Gabel junior Andrew Salvador, who is seeded second, at 9 a.m. today at the University of Oregon in Eugene.

Cochrane is the only remaining unseeded player in the 4A/3A/2A/1A boys singles bracket. He beat Oregon Episcopal's fourth-seeded Marc Leef, 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.

In the first round, Cochrane shut out Condon's Marlon Willecke, 6-0, 6-0.

Meanwhile, fourth-seeded Cascade Christian doubles partners Eric Morse and Taylor Pena will face La Salle Prep's Maximilian Hey and Xander Hey, seeded second, at 9 a.m. in a semifinal match after earning a pair of straight-set wins on Friday.

The juniors edged Vale's Bryce Marvin and Paul Spivey, 7-5, 6-4 in the quarterfinals and blanked Sherman's Terran Casper and Jon Carcedo, 6-0, 6-0 in the opening round.

On the girls side, St. Mary's fourth-seeded senior Maggie Schein will take on Catlin Gabel junior Kate Rubinstein, seeded second, at 9 a.m. in the semifinals.

In the quarterfinals, Schein defeated Crook County's Barbara Furuie, 6-2, 6-4. She downed La Salle Prep's Tori Van, 6-1, 6-0 in a first-round rout.

In 5A doubles action, Ashland senior Josh Harris and freshman Grant Kahn fell to Wilson's Jake Newhawll and Todd Johnson, seeded second, 6-4, 7-6 (3) in a semifinal match at Portland Tennis Center on Friday.

The Grizzly combination rallied to knock off Wilsonville's third-seeded pairing of Myles Sorokovosky and Cameron Tonning, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Ashland's Hannah Greenberg and River Davis also kept things close in their semifinal loss. Hermiston's Mary Hawman and Sarah Hawman beat the freshmen, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 at Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.

Greenberg and Davis turned in a stellar quarterfinal performance, winning 11 of their final 12 games to top Crescent Valley's Stephanie Wang and Charlotte Fisher, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1.

The Grizzly tandem trailed 4-1 in the second set before winning five straight games. They fell behind 1-0 in the third set before rattling off six consecutive game victories.

In other local matches, Ashland doubles partners Ian Murray and Carl Gorbett fell to Cleveland's Graham Gordon and Jonathan Colner, 6-0, 6-3, in a 5A quarterfinal match.

St. Mary's doubles partners Anna Thorndike and Alden Caldwell, who were unseeded, knocked of top-seeded Jordana Lewis and Caitlyn Au of Oregon Episcopal, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4, in their first-round match before falling to Crook County's Catie Brown and Kayla Morgan, 6-3, 6-3, in the quarterfinals.
