The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs has lowered its 30-year fixed-rate home mortgage loans to 4.125 percent to qualified veterans.

The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs has lowered its 30-year fixed-rate home mortgage loans to 4.125 percent to qualified veterans.

The rate includes a 1.375 percent loan-origination fee for an APR of 4.266 percent.

ORVET's current maximum loan amount is $417,000 for a single family, owner-occupied residence. A state of Oregon veteran benefit, the ORVET Home Loan Program is separate from the federal VA home loan guaranty program. Veterans still may be eligible for an ORVET home loan even if they purchased a home using the federal VA program.
