LeeAnn Ackley Moses, 70, of Gold Hill, Ore., passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Otis and Louise Ackley, in Deadwood, S.D., where she grew up and attended Deadwood High School.
In 1961, she married Bill McIntyre, and had two sons. They lived in Southern Calif.
In 1981, LeeAnn moved to Oregon and married her childhood neighbor from Deadwood, S.D., Maurice Moses, and was blessed with another son.
In Ventura, Calif., she was an active member and past president of the Parent Teacher Association, and volunteered many hours for her sons. In Oregon, she owned and operated a clothing store, and worked at the Gold Hill Pharmacy until her retirement in 2009.
LeeAnn was always busy and productive. She loved to garden, read, volunteer and spend time with friends and family. She had a kind soul, always reaching out to others, and she will be dearly missed.
LeeAnn is survived by her three sons, Ron McIntyre, and his wife, Rebecca, of Austin, Texas, Rick McIntyre, of Gold Hill, and J.J. Moses, of Central Point; sister-in-law, LeeAnn Fusco; half sister, Irene Haywood; brother-in-law, Greg Moses; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; her beloved dog, Bonnie Blue; and two cats, Beebe and Abby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice Moses; her mother-in-law, Opal Moses; and sister-in-law, Sandy Chaves.
