With an idyllic setting along the Rogue and elegant, casual food, the newly refurbished Rogue River Lodge is set to accommodate live-music audiences. "It's under the stars and at a historic lodge," says co-owner Anne Kimball. "It's just a beautiful setting."

Last week, the lodge announced its summer outdoor-concert series, which will run through the first week in September.

Concerts will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturdays in the pavilion or on the lawn. The lineup features local musicians, performing a variety of genres, including jazz, R&B, classic, folk, country, blues and rock.

Bookending the concert series, tribute artist Clint Ingbretson will perform his popular Elvis show, complete with glittery, custom jumpsuits and all The King's popular hits. Ingbretson, who has performed at the lodge on several occasions, has been the venue's most popular show thus far, says Kimball.

Also flaunting a theatrical style, Jocelyn Vodovoz will perform at the lodge in July. Vodovoz, a singer, dancer and actor, performed on stages in London, New York and Los Angeles before settling in the Rogue Valley. Accompanied by a pianist, she will perform a theater revue that includes a variety of Broadway tunes.

In honor of entertainment icon Ginger Rogers' 100th birthday, July 16, the lodge will host "An Elegant Evening on the Rogue," featuring local show band The Mixers, playing its signature '40s and '50s big-band swing.

Earlier this summer, guitarist and vocalist Jon Galfano, who typically plays as a solo or duo, will perform with his four-piece band, Storm Chasers. The group will cover songs by legendary rockers such as Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Young and the Doobie Brothers.

"Anne and Lee are committed to providing great music and making the Rogue River Lodge a great destination for everyone," says Galfano, who has played at the lodge on a regular basis.

"It's going to be a delightful summer of music with some of the valley's finest musical groups."
