Camelot Theatre Company will hold a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. Friday, June 3, for its new James Morrison Collier Theatre Building, adjacent to the old theater building, 101 Talent Ave. in Talent, according to a news release.

Camelot officials also will offer free backstage tours to the public from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays starting June 11, with the exception of June 18.

The new James Morrison Collier building replaces the converted feed store that has housed theatrical productions in Talent for decades. The new theater increases audience capacity by 60 percent, provides more comfortable seats, clear sight lines from every location, improved climate control, advanced sound and lighting equipment and a stage double the size of the previous site.
