Donna was born September 22, 1928, in Lakeview, Ore. She was raised in the Lakeview area until World War II, when her family moved to the Bay Area. She graduated from Alameda High School, in California, in 1944.

Donna returned to Lakeview in 1957, where she met Percy Steers. They became friends and were married on October 23, 1960, in Reno, Nev. They lived in Reno for 28 years. Donna worked for Wells Fargo Bank while they lived there. They retired and moved to Medford, Ore., in 1993. They were members of First Church of the Nazarene where they were involved in several ministries.

In 1999, they sold their home and moved to an apartment at Waterford Senior Living, until they moved to Cottonwood, Calif., to be near their daughter, Diane, and their granddaughter. They returned to Medford, Ore., on October 23, 2010, to celebrate their 50th anniversary with their friends here.

Donna leaves one son, Jon Steers, of Gardnerville, Nev.; two daughters, Denise Tosh, of Concord, Calif., and Terry Brown, also of California. She also leaves her three stepdaughters, Celia Steers, of Portland, Ore., Jeannie Howard, of Eugene, Ore., and Diane Steers, of Cottonwood, Calif. She also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene in Medford, Ore., on June 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Kevin Gowland officiating. Donna's remains will be interred at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Ore.
