Project Homeless Connect, Jackson County's annual, one-stop event for an increasing population of homeless individuals and families and those at risk, will take place today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.

The annual event provides a hot lunch, access to essential services and free, helpful items, to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Jackson County.

The goal of Project Homeless Connect is to connect the community to the issue of homelessness and reconnect the homeless and those at risk to essentials such as medical care, counseling for substance abuse and mental health issues, housing referrals, shelter, and other support services. Anyone interested in attending this event is invited and encouraged to do so.
