Art and Carmela Hotho of Medford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 2 with a quiet dinner at Firkin & Fox in Carson City, Nev., with their son and his family. They were visiting for their granddaughter's graduation.

Art and Carmela Hotho of Medford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 2 with a quiet dinner at Firkin & Fox in Carson City, Nev., with their son and his family. They were visiting for their granddaughter's graduation.

Art Hotho married Carmela Daly on June 2, 1951, in Ashland, at the home of her parents, Elton and Thelma Daly.

In 1956, they moved their family to Medford, where they have resided until the present time.

Art was an independent gypo log trucker until he retired in 1984. Carmela participated in their children's school activities and also worked at Harry & David in the '70s. Since retirement, they have traveled extensively in their motor home and particularly enjoy trips along the Oregon Coast. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in Maui with three of their children.

The Hothos have four children, Ronald (Linda) Pierce of Fairbanks, Alaska; Robert (Jolene) Hotho of Anchorage, Alaska; Stephen (Inger) Hotho of Minden, Nev., and Delene Bartel of Brisbane, Australia, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
