Year-over-year Southern Oregon lodging demand was flat in May, by most measures.

Data compiled by Smith Travel Research in Tennessee showed occupancy and revenue per available room rose 1.6 percent in May, compared with May 2010. Room demand and room revenue were up less than 1 percent.

For the first five months of the year, room demand was up 5 percent and room revenue was up 4.8 percent.
