An Ashland forester received a national award commemorating their dedication despite "challenging and difficult working circumstances throughout the span of their careers," according to a news release.

An Ashland forester received a national award commemorating their dedication despite "challenging and difficult working circumstances throughout the span of their careers," according to a news release.

Marty Main received the Tough Tree Award from the Society of American Foresters, an educational organization representing U.S. forestry professions.

Main has been with the City of Ashland since 1995. He is the senior forester for the Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project.
