Several city of Ashland employees, including city administrator Martha Bennett and Mayor John Stromberg, will play with the Ashland City Band during its annual Norwegian Night at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28, in the Butler Band Shell in Lithia Park, Ashland, according to a news release.

The event is open to the public.

A pre-concert show by the Swing Kings starts at 6 p.m.

The city employees will join the band for several arrangements, including "Deep River Fantasy," "His Honor March," and "Norwegian Folk Rhapsody," Norway's national anthem.

Other tunes will include "Concord Overture" by Ralph Hermann, "Alpine Fantasy" by Erik Leidzén and featuring horn trio Jenifer Carstensen, Cynthia Hutton and Linda Harris, "A Disney Spectular," arranged by John Moss and featuring guest conductor Steve Kessler, "Landsighting" by Edvard Grieg, "From the Homefront: Musical Memories of World War II," arranged by James Christensen, and "Pride of the Wolverines," by John Philip Sousa.
